On March 11, Zhejiang Conservatory of Music and the Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary held an online friendly exchange meeting. The meeting was attended by Lajos Oláh, Vice President of the Hungarian Parliament, Gábor Farkas, President of the Liszt Academy, and representatives of their school, as well as Wang Rui, President of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, Vice President Dong Dejun, and heads of relevant functional departments. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on deepening cooperation in music education and promoting the integration of Chinese and Hungarian arts and culture.
At the beginning of the meeting, Lajos Oláh warmly congratulated the convening of this online exchange meeting and highly praised the long-standing friendly exchanges between the two schools. He reviewed the close exchanges between China and Hungary in recent years in fields such as economy, culture, and education, fully affirming the important role of music and arts as a bridge in the cultural exchanges between the two countries, and expressed high expectations for the future deepening of cooperation and joint development between the two academies.
Gábor Farkas recalled his two visits to Zhejiang Conservatory of Music last year and the special visit of the Zhejiang delegation to the Liszt Academy. He stated that in recent years, the two schools have frequently visited each other and maintained close interactions. They have carried out practical cooperation in multiple areas such as student exchange, academic exchange, and art practice, achieving fruitful results. He looks forward to expanding the cooperation space in more dimensions and deeper levels in the future, jointly promoting high-quality development of music education between China and Hungary.
Wang Rui delivered a speech on behalf of the school, expressing heartfelt thanks to Vice President Lajos Oláh for his long-term strong support of the cooperation between the two schools, and sincere appreciation to President Gábor Farkas for his dedicated efforts and active promotion. He pointed out that in recent years, exchanges between the two schools have been frequent and cooperation has been substantial. Zhejiang Conservatory will take this online meeting as a new starting point to continuously deepen comprehensive and regular cooperation with the Liszt Academy, promote the friendly relationship between the two schools to develop steadily and genuinely, jointly cultivate outstanding music talents with an international vision, and contribute to Chinese-Hungarian cultural and artistic exchanges.
