Zhejiang Conservatory of Music and Hungary's Roland University held a joint management committee meeting for Sino-foreign cooperative education programs

On March 9, Zhejiang Conservatory of Music and Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) held a virtual joint management committee meeting for their Sino-foreign cooperative education program. Attending the meeting were Dong Dejun, Vice President of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music; Professor Hao Qingxin, Academician of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and ELTE’s Coordinator for Asian Affairs; and heads of relevant functional departments from both institutions.

Dong Dejun stated that the Sino-Hungarian joint educational program between Zhejiang Conservatory of Music and Eötvös Loránd University represents a significant achievement in the humanities and arts education exchange and cooperation between China and Hungary. Since its launch, the two institutions have collaborated closely and achieved solid results in areas such as student recruitment and training, curriculum development, and other aspects, earning widespread recognition from students. This meeting aims to strictly implement regulatory requirements for Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, continuously refine educational quality, optimize talent cultivation systems, and further expand the depth and breadth of cooperation—jointly establishing a model project for China-Hungary arts education collaboration.

The project leader from Eötvös Loránd University introduced the academic performance, daily management, and personal development of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music students studying in Hungary. Hao Qingxin highly commended the overall operational effectiveness of the program. He stated that Eötvös Loránd University places great importance on its deep collaboration with Zhejiang Conservatory of Music and fully recognizes the professional competence and academic attitude of its students. The university will fully cooperate to optimize teaching arrangements and improve training components, continuously providing high-quality educational resources and comprehensive support for student growth and success.

Both sides agreed that, taking this meeting as an opportunity, they would further strengthen communication and coordination, ensure the stable and standardized operation of the program, promote high-quality development, jointly build an excellent platform for cultivating internationally oriented music talents, and inject new vitality into artistic education exchanges and people-to-people interactions between China and Hungary.
