Music Museum of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music (ZJCM) opened on the morning of 15th September 2017.

Chu Ziyu, the Secretary of ZJCM CPC Committee, and Zhang Hongyan, a Vice President of ZJCM, unveiled the Music Museum of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music.

 

 

 

The Vice Secretary of ZJCM CPC Committee and Vice President of ZJCM Zhang Jianguo congratulated on the opening of Music Museum, and thanked all for their hard work to prepare the Museum. He said that the Museum aims to gather all the typical musical forms, and exhibit the colorful musical art jointly created by human beings in limited space as an art palace which presents human musical achievements with its roots in Zhejiang, and vision beyond China.

Shi Yin, the Curator of Oriental Instrument Museum of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, said that he looked forward to future cooperation with the Music Museum of ZJCM whose achievements in art teaching and practicing has been highly acknowledged since its establishment. Also, Zhejiang Museum will closely cooperate with ZJCM Music Museum to promote music education and provide music service of high quality, according to Cai Qin, the Vice Curator of Zhejiang Museum.

Based on musical instruments, the Music Museum of ZJCM strives to combine various presenting methods including real scenes, pictures and multimedia to deliver richer musical culture via comprehensive and multi-dimensional media channels. The Music Museum of ZJCM is divided into four basic parts: Chinese Ancient Music, Chinese Traditional Music, Music of Wuyue Area and World Music. Also, there is a zone for court music and a thematic gallery for music and dance art from Dunhuang.
