The art troupe of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music (ZJCM) was invited to perform at the 2019 Lunar New Year Reception of the Consulate General of The People's Republic of China in Los Angeles, USA at 19:00 on January 29, 2019 (local time) with presence of Consul General Zhang Ping and officials including US congressmen, senators, and commissioners of Los Angeles County. 

The performance included traditional Chinese music and jazz composition, which won the burst of warm applause and delivered a strong atmosphere of Lunar New Year. With different instruments and styles, traditional Chinese pieces presented people's life in both northern and southern China. And the jazz combined Chinese folk melody with American rhythm. 

The 39-member ZJCM art troupe was scheduled to hold eight more performances in local universities, major concert halls, libraries and museums during this 9-day visit, promoting Chinese art and China-US cultural exchange.
