On June 2nd, the closing ceremony of the first ‘Insight of China’---‘the Belt and Road’ Art Master Workshop was held at the Dance Theater of ZJCM. The workshop is hosted jointly by the Bureau for External Cultural Relations of Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and organized by Zhejiang Conservatory. 11 Art masters from countries along the Belt and Road participated in the workshop, spending a joyous ten-day journey at Hangzhou. During the workshop, art masters, teachers and students of ZJCM have exchanged ideas of music and experienced different cultures by class observations and academic seminars.
In this workshop, art masters have taken in-depth exchanges with professors and students of ZJCM. They have joined class observations, experienced Chinese music and dance. They have also passed on their professional knowledge with traditional features to students of ZJCM and brought exquisite arts and culture of their countries to ZJCM. At the same time, they have a deep understanding of Chinese culture, music and dance through this workshop.
On the closing ceremony, Mr. Chadi Isber from Lebanon gave an Oud to ZJCM as a present. And ZJCM sent him an Erhu in return. The workshop has promoted the friendship between China and countries along the Belt and Road as well as cultural exchanges. Also taking this opportunity, Zhejiang Conservatory of Music makes its own contribution to the construction of the Belt and Road initiative.
