Vice President Yang Jiuhua met with Matías Tarnopolsky, President and CEO of Philadelphia Orchestra, and Ambassador Nicholas Platt, Senior Advisor of Philadelphia Orchestra, at Zhejiang Conservatory of Music on the morning of 24 May 2019.

Yang Jiuhua expressed a warm welcome to guests, and Matías Tarnopolsky introduced Philadelphia Orchestra and its long history of communication with China. The two sides discussed deeper exchange and cooperation in the future.

At the same time, Philadelphia Orchestra musicians David Bilger and Amy Oshiro-Morales gave masterclasses to ZJCM students, and Marc Rovetti, William Polk, Kerri Ryan and Priscilla Lee presented a string quartet concert at Modern Concert Hall, ZJCM.
